Bamboo & wattle and daub workshop for the construction crew of House Louisana
Cormiers, Haiti . 2017

In collaboration with Octavio Lopez

The construction crew of House Louisana was composed by unskilled and skilled workers, but none had previously worked with bamboo or wattle and daub.  OFICINA held theoretical and practical workshops during the construction. The job site was a not a place for production, but mostly, a place for learning. These people have now a new set of skills that are extremely useful in a country where bamboo construction is becoming increasingly desirable.  During this period OFICINA also hosted site visits and taught basic construction principles to kids of Cormiers and nearby villages.
